This is a silver-rich reactive colour designed to produce an exceptionally wide range of effects. The original rod is a smooth, deep amber colour with a high silver content, allowing it to develop dramatically different hues depending on your flame chemistry.

For the cleanest results, fully melt the glass in a strong oxidizing flame to burn away the gray-brown haze created by surface silver. Finished pieces can then be gently struck in a reducing flame to develop rich amber, purple, pink, and magenta tones.

During oxidation, the colour naturally shifts toward yellow, green, and blue. Under reduction, it transforms into amber, violet, magenta, and pink, making it one of the most versatile colours in the Raw Boro palette.

Amber Purple also layers beautifully over other colours. Try using 103 over different base colours to create an endless variety of unique colour combinations and reactive effects.
