Originally an opaque deep red rod, this colour develops into a true transparent red when fully worked in a hot flame.
As the glass cools, it naturally self-strikes, producing a rich, saturated red with excellent clarity and vibrant colour. For the brightest results, this colour performs best in thin applications or hollow forms, where its clean transparency can truly shine.
In thicker sections, the colour becomes noticeably deeper and may develop a more opalescent appearance, making it well suited for artists who prefer richer, darker reds in sculptural work.
RB124 is the deepest red in the Raw Boro transparent red series, offering the highest colour saturation among RB113, RB114, and RB124
