Originally an opaque white rod, Labrador Iceberg melts to a beautifully clear, cool blue in a hot flame. Compared to the original Ghost White, this lighter version is more transparent, brighter, and noticeably bluer, making it ideal for delicate sculptural work.
Repeated reheating in a neutral to slightly reducing flame will encourage subtle whitening, allowing you to create soft gradients and natural depth without losing transparency. This forgiving behaviour makes it especially suitable for directly sculpting flowers, leaves, small animals, and other decorative forms.
With its gentle opalescent appearance and excellent workability, Labrador Iceberg is an easy-to-use colour that produces elegant, luminous results.
The octopus shown in the photo features a clear glass base layered with this colour and is finished with RB104 dots for added depth and detail.
