Originally an opaque deep orange-yellow rod, this is an experimental striking colour with an exceptionally wide colour range.
Work the glass in an oxidizing flame until it is fully melted through. The initial finish reveals soft, luminous tones, while the final colour can be precisely controlled through gentle reduction.
With each additional reduction cycle, the colour gradually deepens, transitioning from soft blue and green to warm golden hues, rich amber, and finally vibrant red tones. This broad colour spectrum allows artists to fine-tune the final appearance, making each piece uniquely their own.
The octopus shown in the photo features a clear glass base layered with this colour and is finished with RB104 dots for added depth and detail.
