Description
Raw Boro – Copper Flair X191. Price shown is per pound and sold in 1/4-lb increments.
RBX191 is a highly reactive copper-bearing borosilicate colour that develops an extraordinary metallic surface through repeated oxidation. Under an oxidizing flame, the glass forms a vivid copper-red oxide layer accompanied by brilliant blue, green, and iridescent metallic highlights, creating exceptional depth and movement.
By repeatedly reheating the surface in an oxidizing flame, additional copper oxides emerge, producing increasingly complex layers of colour and metallic lustre. The resulting finish ranges from rich copper tones to vibrant blues and greens, making every piece unique.
Ideal for artists who enjoy flame chemistry and surface reactions, Copper Flair offers dramatic oxidation effects while maintaining excellent workability for sculptural and decorative applications.
